Cooled down and having fun.

As usual, things are busy, busy, busy around here! Last week, Edward packed his bags and flew to Minneapolis to the Republican National Convention. He got to hang out with his good friends, Chris and Ryan, who he does not see as often as he would like. Also, he got to be present for all of those speeches, balloon cascades and confetti explosions that we saw on TV. He attended many events which he referred to as "networking opportunities", but really kind of looked like "very fun parties" to me. Hmmm... Seriously though, we are glad he was able to go and have fun and be a part of such an important event.

Our friend Tim, who grew up with Edward in Denmark, came for a visit on Labor Day. He has a way with babies! Beau was very glad to meet him and hear Tim and Edward talk about football.

While Edward was away, Beau's Maimie came for a visit. Boy, did we shop, shop, shop! Hope Pops doesn't see this! We found a beautiful Christening gown for Beau, and lots of Fall and Winter clothes for everyone else. Beau tolerated the shopping excursions well. We also got to bring Maimie to the Bouncing Babies class. It was so much fun!

Mamie watched Beau while I got to visit another sweet baby, Anders Ching, for the first time. He is so beautiful! I can't wait for Beau and Anders to play together!

Finally, on Saturday we attended Clemson's first home game of the year. It was so hot! Beau did a wonderful job, but the 21 gun salute may have frightened him a bit. Whoops! We are glad the Tigers beat the Bulldogs and we hope they can eek out another W this week. We'll see... Beau is not sure about that Tommy Bowden.
