Reunion

My mother's mom, Grandma Roberta Long, is turning 80 years old this week. By the way, her maiden name is Hiatt which is Henry's middle name. Grandma Roberta grew up on a farm in Iowa, and is one of three sisters. She now lives in Florida and is very active in her church and neighborhood. She even manages to squeeze in a few rounds of golf here and there. All of her three children and nearly all of her grandchildren gathered in Helen, Georgia two weeks ago to celebrate and spend time with her. It was SO much fun! Beau particularly had fun seeing family and participating in all of the fun activities in Unicoi State Park. Dad, Mom and Grandma Roberta at her birthday dinner.

The beautiful falls.

Grandma hiked all the way up to the falls! I hope I am hiking (or shopping) when I am 80!

I don't know what is up with the sour faces, but we really did have fun helping Beau to make clay pots at Unicoi.

My Sister-in-Law, Heidi, along with Grandma, myself and my brother, Davy.

Our family with Grandma at her birthday dinner.

Our entire family (minus Tara/Keith and Davy/Heidi) at Grandma's birthday dinner!

My Aunt Lynnette did a fantastic job planning the entire vacation and the birthday dinner. I think Grandma was surprised!

My first cousin, Marcus, with Beau. They are good pals!

This is Beau's very first s'more! YUM! says he.

Me and Grandma at the falls.

Uncle Pom, Edward and Dad presumably playing poker.

Aunt Lynnette, Mom, cousin Peter, cousin Paul and Grandma playing Scattergories.

We went to a snake show! Beau had no problem petting the snake. His father's child, for sure!!

This is the best picture! Beau caught his very first fish (and then his second fish!) at the lake in Unicoi. He was SO excited and we were so excited for him! He kept telling everyone that he caught "two fish!". Adorable!
